Ben Koorengevel sent me a photo of the city flag in the Spring of 2004. I made the image based on the arms he sent me along with the photo.

The City of L’Île-Perrot (10,516 inhabitants in 2010; 486 ha) is one of the four municipalities located on Perrot Island, west of Montréal.

Perrot Island was split in 1947 into Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot (south) and L'Île-Perrot-Nord (north). In 1949, the Village of Pincourt was established in the westernmost part of the island, while the Municipality of Terrasse-Vaudreuil was established in 1954 in the northernmost part of the island. In 1955, L'Île-Perrot-Nord was incorporated as the City of L'Île-Perrot.

The arms of L’Île-Perrot are described as "Azure two crescents argent affronty per fess a chief or three eagles sable". The French blazon uses "aiglettes", a word specific to French heraldry, used when there is more than one eagle ("aigle"). Here the word does not convey any meaning of young or small eagles.
