The beautician and the beast (USA, 1997). This is the story of the
dictatorial president (Timothy Dalton) of a tiny fictitious Eastern European
country (“Slovetzia”, between Slovakia and Ukraine) having
invited an American beautician (Fran Drescher) as teacher for his children. Of
course the beautician turns his castle, country and life upside down, both
fall in love, democracy is installed there etc… Very frequently
the flag of Slovetzia is shown, mainly as a car flag,
though.

The national flag is a red over (medium) blue bicolour with a black
boar’s head with white tusks. The car flag is square, the flag seen in
another setting is approx. 2:3. Sometimes also military colours are shown, that
seem to have the same overall layout; however, as they are not unfolded,
I am not sure. The flag is a banner-of-arms.
The arms is shown pretty frequently as well, for instance painted on the door
of the official automobile.
