Presentation of Belica

Belica is located 7 km north-east of Čakovec, in the very heart of the County. It has 3,500 inhabitants, 2,500 in the village of the same name.

Flag of Belica

The symbols of Belica are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Belica, adopted on 22 August 2006 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 31 August 2006 in the County official gazette Službeni glanisk Međimurske županije, No. 9.
Accordingly, the Municipality Statutes were amended by Statutory Decision Odluka o izmjeni i dopuni Statuta Općine Belica, adopted on 5 june 2007 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 30 June 2007 in Službeni glanisk Međimurske županije, No. 6.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, green with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms is "Vert three potato flowers argent seeded or".
Potato is among the most important agricultural products of Međimurje; the County's Association of Potato Growers is seated in Belica.
