The coat of arms is "Azure an hawk displayed proper holding a tower argent roofed gules".
The tower is a representation of the 14th century three-storey Gothic St. Mary chapel, part of the Sokolac Castle around which Brinje was formed. The arms are canting, sokol meaning "hawk" in Croatian.
