Presentation of Buzet

Buzet (Italian, Pinguente) is located 20 km north of Pazin, in the region of Istria furthest from the coast. Population is 6,500, but only about 500 live in the town itself, the largest settlement being Funtana in the valley below Buzet. The distance from sea means also distance from the Italian influence, so the Italian name of the town, Pinguente, is rarely used.

Flag of Buzet

The flag of Buzet (photo, no longer online) is in proportions 1:2, white over red bicolor with the emblem ("coat of arms") set in canton.
These symbols must be used quite unofficially.
