Presentation of Vižinada

Vižinada (Italian, Visinada) is located a dozen km north-west of Pazin. It has 2,200 inhabitants, only 250 of them living in the town of the same name.

Flag of Vižinada

The symbols of Vižinada are prescribed in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Vižinada, adopted on 8 October 2001 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 21 November 2001 in the Poreč official gazette Službeni glasnik Grada Poreča, No. 12, although it must have been adopted earlier.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, yellow with the coat of arms in the lower half of the flag.

The coat of arms is "Argent a cross patty gules throughout and in the first, second and third quarter each a downpointing brown-green funnel-shaped cone".
This is the historical coat of arms of the town.
