The coat of arms is "Per fess or an eagle displayed sable beaked, langued and membered gules and azure a bridge between two cliffs argent".
According to Oštrić [osg02], Vrbovsko was granted civic status and a coat of arms at the same time in 1785 by Emperor Joseph II. The grant of arms includes the rich painting of the coat of arms within a circular annulet and a baroque landscape scene, but the main part of the arms was the same as today.
