Presentation of Cestica

The Municipality of Cestica had 5,800 inhabitants in 1993. It was known until 1910 as Čestica.

The coat of arms of Cestica is "Azure a vine tree proper fructed or winding around a Latin cross argent issuant from a triple mount vert".
The cross must refer to the village of Križovljan and the local parish dedicated to the Assencion of the Holy Cross. wine production is traditional and important in the region.
