The flag and arms of Hoče - Slivnica are prescribed by Decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi Občine Hoče - Slivnica, adopted on 26 July 2000, and published in the official local gazette Medobčinski uradni vestnik Gorenjske in Stajerske regije, 12/2000. Regulation Pravilnik o uporabi zastav v občini Hoče-Slivnica (text), adopted on 2 March 2009 and published on 23 March 2009 in the official local gazette Medobčinski uradni vestnik Gorenjske in Stajerske regije, describes the use of the flag, prescribing the dates, locations and which flags shall be officially hoisted in the municipality; the European Union, Slovenian and municipal flag, as well as flags of other organizations, may be used.
The symbols were designed by Valt Jurečič of Heraldika d.o.o. and Heraldica Slovenica, who kindly provided drawings from which the images shown on this page were made.
The flag is rectangular, in proportions 2:5, yellow with a green square field in the middle, charged with the semi-wheel and branch from the coat of arms.
