Jones County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of 2000, the population was 20,221. Its county seat is Anamosa. The county was named in honor of George W. Jones, one of Iowa's first United States Senators. It is one of the
three counties that make up the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area.
