The new commune of Haut-Intyamon includes former communes of Albeuve, Lessoc, Montbovon and Neirivue. The new flag retains the crane, main symbol of Gruyère district, the two wavy stripes symbolize the rivers Albeuve and Neirivue, while the mountains on which the crane is standing depict the defile (mountain pass) of La Tine.
