Here is translation from the site:

"[It] was adopted by the agreement no. 043 of February 1974. The white stands for freedom, purity, independence. Red [stands] for valour, courage, strength, love for the fatherland and particularly the blood shed by the sons of the city in the independence wars. It is compulsory to raise it the 8th September, 11th November, 6th December (day of Love for Rionegro [sic]) and on the national holidays."

The local flag, a simple white over red bicolor, suposedly based on the central element of the coat of arms (azure a lion rampant or ineschuteon of Castille and Leon). Santiago de Arma de Rionegro belongs to the Antioquia department; the municipality has 196 km2 and 90 000 inhabitants.

A religious community of Christian denomination called "Centro Cristiano de Alabanza y Oración" (Worship and Pray Christian Center) is located in Rionegro.

Its flag is a white horizontal background with the logo in the middle.
