Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, a bend sinister chequered of Gules and Argent, above right a stork passant Proper, below left two sinister bendy rows of trefoils Or.
Meaning:
The bend and the blue colour are derived from the arms of the Groschlag kin, the oldest known rulers of the village. Stork and trefoils are taken from the arms of the Wasen kin, who also had some possessions in the area. As the species of bird in the original family arms was not clear, it was decided to use a stork, as there also has been a stork nest in the village for a long time.
The arms were approved in 1957.
