Coat of Arms

Shield Vert, two axes endorsed Argent, surrounded by a coronet Or
Meaning:
The two axes are symbolising the many woods in the municipality and the importance of forestry. The coronet is symbolising the Wilhelmsthal castle in the municipality, a possession of the Counts of Hessen.
The arms were approved on 7 October 1977.
