Bülstedt Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
Shield Vert, divided by a bendlet sinister Argent, in dexter chief a watermill Argent with millwheel Sable, in sinister base a dolmen Or surrounded by a circle of stones of the same.
Meaning:
The municipality has two settlement cores: Bülstedt proper and Steinfeld. The local watermill is located at Mühlbach, a creek, and representing Bülstedt proper. The dolmen is representing Steinfeld and its excavations. The bendlet sinister wavy is representing Wörpe creek, crossing the municipality and having its source in Steinfeld.

Meaning:
The bendlet wavy is representing the local creeks Wörpe, Wellbach and Moorbach. The church is the local church of Kirchtimke. Compass rose and rising sun are representing Ostertimke (= Eastern Timke), as the sun rises in the East.

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent a cross patty fitchy Sable, a sinister Azure a bishop Or holding a crozier in his right hand and balancing the model of a church with his left hand.
Meaning:
The cross is alluding to the Bishopric of Verden, to which the municipality historically belonged. The bishop is St. Ansgar Archbishop of Bremen (801-865), who mentioned the village at the very first time.
