Current Flag

Cycling towards the Danish-German border, I saw the flag of Bremervörde, green over red. Probably has a version with arms as well.
Peter Hans van den Muijzenberg, 27 Aug 2001

Stadler 1970,p.28 says that the flag of Bremervörde is green and red with the arms, so I guess that it indeed exists. (...) I wonder where the colour of the green stripe in the flag is taken from, though. Bremervörde has city rights and is situated in Rotenburg (Wümme) county.

Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The arms are based on the oldest known seal of the city, which is known since 1389. The seal and the arms show the image of St. Peter, patron saint of the State of Bremen. The Archbishops of Bremen built a castle, around which the city developed. The composition was officially granted as arm in 1948.
