Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Argent a lion passant Gules, beneath chequered of 15 of Gules and Argent (3x5).
Meaning:
The municipal arms are derived from the arms of the Barons of Cornberg, however with different colours. The lion claimes the descent of the barons from the Hesse kin. The chequered part had been a chessboard in the family arms with colours blue, red and silver.
The arms were approved on 26 February 1981 by Minister of Interior of Hesse.
