Murrhardt Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, issuant from base a mount Vert, on mount a fir Vert, supported by two wolves rampant, reguardant,Sable.
Meaning:
In the 9th century besides the Benedictine Abbey of St. Walterich a settlement developed, founded by the Counts of Löwenstein-Wolfsölden. It was first mentioned as a city in 1328. There existed seals probably since the early 14th century. A print from 1389 displays an abbot's crozier. Also later images displayed the crozier. Siebmacher (1605) painted the arms black with a golden crozier with silver velum. Since 1660 the crozier was supported by the wolves. The crozier was replaced by tree and mount in the 19th century. The new elements were symbolising the location of the city between Murrhardt Forest and LLöwenstein Mountains.

The banner was adopted by the local council on 25 February 1925.
