Presentation of Navacepedilla de Corneja

The municipality of Navacepedilla de Corneja (114 inhabitants in 2014; 2,950 ha) is located in the south-west of the Province of Ávila, 60 km of Ávila. The municipality is made of the village of Navacepedilla de Corneja and of the hamlet of Garganta de los Hornos.

Symbols of Navacepedilla de Corneja

The flag and arms of Navacepedilla de Corneja are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 24 June 2013 by the Municipal Council, signed on 23 December 2013 by the Mayor, and published on 16 January 2014 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 10, pp. 2,991-2,992 (text).
The symbols, which sere designed by the Institución Gran Duque de Alba and Félix J. Martínez Llorente, and validated by the Chronicler of Arms of Castilla y León, are described as follows:

Flag: In dimensions 2:3, with a border. Yellow (or), a wavy stripe made of three blue (azure) and white (argent) waves. A blue (azure) border in height 1/7 of the fly, charged with 18 yellow (or) bezants, six in the upper and lower parts, respectively, five at hoist and five at fly.
Coat of arms: Shield in Spanish shape. Or a three-peaked heraldic mount vert ensigned by two goats saltant sable horned and armed argent supporting an escutcheon of Davila (Azure 13 bezants or placed 3, 3, 3, 3 and 1) in base a fess wavy argent and azure. The shield surmounted with a Spanish Royal crown.
