Coat of Arms

Blazon: På raud grunn tre gull feler, 2-1. In English: Gules three fiddles or.
Approved by the royal resolution of 19 February 1988 after a drawing by Halvor Holtskog Jr. [c2j88] and http://www.bo.kommune.no/politikk-og-organisasjon/lokalpolitikk/kommunevapen-og-ordforarkjede/
The design shows a hardingfela (Hardanger fiddle) as we have already seen at Granvin a few days ago. Bø in Telemark (as opposed from Bø in Nordland, another municipality) is know as the Norwegian Cremona - with strong fiddle building tradition.
