Opatów commune flag

Opatów - rural commune, Kłobuck County, Śląskie Voivodship.
Gmina Opatów is a rural gmina (commune) in Kłobuck County, Silesian Voivodship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Opatów.
Area: 73.54 sq.km (28.4 sq.mi); Population: 6,733 (2006).

A typical agricultural commune; land under cultivation - 87%; forests - 7%.
It has an "Um-Pa-Pah" (bloasmusik) band of the Voluntary Fire Department.

Arms and flag adopted on June 30, 2006 (resolution # 171/XXXVIII/2006).
"Arms: on the red shield a silver wing and leg of an eagle and a golden pastoral staff.

Flag: rectangle in the ratio 5:8 composed of three uneven horizontal bands:
* upper - white - 1/2 of the width of the flag
* middle - red - 1/4 of the width of the flag
* lower - yellow - 1/4 of the width of the flag.
On the white band, in the canton of the flag, the Arms are placed."
