It is a fairly typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field (village rank).

Coat of arms

The arms are Argent in central chief a mitre Gules adorned Or flanked by two pines Vert fruited Or, in base two wreaths of fern(?) Vert tied Azure. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "ANTUZEDE"

The arms are Argent a baton Sable and an oat panicle Vert crossed per saltire, in central chief a bunch of grapes Vert fruited Purpure, in central base a button Purpure. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VIL DE MATOS".
