Shield Sable a filigree heart flanked by two corn cobs, all Or, in base mantled Argent charged with two barrulets wavy Azure. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "FÂNZERES".

Coat of arms

Shield Sable, divided by a bar wavy Argent charged with a barrulet wavy Azure, in chief a corn cob Gules leaved Or between two wheat ears Or, in base a shovel and a pick axe crossed per saltire and a pit lamp, all Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "S. PEDRO DA COVA".
Meaning:
The elements in base are canting referring to the suffix "da cova" (= of the pitt).
