Coat of arms

Shield mantled, above dexter red a gridiron Or, above sinister Sable three grain ears Or tied Vert, over all issuant from chief a lower demi-cogwheel Argent, in base Azure charged with two bars wavy Argent. Mural crown Argent with five visible towers (city rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "CIDADE DE ERMESINDE". Please note that the arms in the communal webpage display the inscription "FREGUESIA DE ERMESINDE".
