Coat of arms

Shield Argent, a barrel Gules lined Sable, flanked by an apple Gules at dexter and sinister, a fleur-de-lis Azure in chief, and a lower demi-cogwheel Vert in base. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank)and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "CONSTANTIM - VILA REAL".
Meaning:
The barrel is representing the local production of white vines, the apples are representing local orchards, creating apples of high quality. The demi-cogwheel is representing industries. Finally the fleur-de-lis is an attribute of Our Lady of the Market, the local patron saint.

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of yellow and green.

Coat of arms

Shield Vert, two billets Argent ordered per fess, in chief a pair of keys crossed per saltire, the bendy one Or, the other one Argent, in base a cross patty Gules charged with a Greek cross Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "VALE DE NOGUEIRAS".
Meaning:
The crossed keys are an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The cross is alluding to the Order of the Knights of Christ.
