Images based on the Heraldický Register Slovenskej Republiky I, 2000 - Pezinok, Pezinok district, Bratislava region - adopted 1991, based on a seal from the 15th century.
Pezinok is 10 km NE of Bratislava with 15.000 inhabitants. It was made a free royal town in 1647 and delivered to the royal court in return for its royal privileges a yearly tribute of 150 buckets of wine. Gold mines existed here until the last century. Pezinok (Hungarian: Bazin, German: Bösing was in Pozsony (Slovakian: Prešporok) county in Hungary till 1918/1920 (Declaration of Martin). 1920-1938 Czechoslovakian, 1939-1945 Slovakian, and 1945-1992 Czechoslovakian. City walls from 1643, City Hall (Renaissance), Gothic Roman Catholic Church, Renaissance Pálffy Mansion.

Pezinok has a Vert shield the Virgin Mary Immaculata in cloth Vert and   Coat Gules, Crowned. Standing on crescent Argent pointed downwards and on sphere or, all within a aureole Or ( with straight and flamy rays).
