All People's Congress

The All People's Congress is a major political party in Sierra Leone. It governed the country from 1968 to 1992, and became the ruling party again in 2007. The APC has traditionally been based among the Temne and their ally the Limba in the Northern Province. In 1978, the APC became the sole legal party in the country.
The party's flag can be seen on their homepage, here: http://apc.homestead.com/files/apclogo.jpg

The RUF emerged in March 1991 to "topple the government of Sierra Leone and retain control of the lucrative diamond producing regions of the country." (Source: http://www.worldstatesmen.org/Terrorist.html#RUF. They "fought a failed ten-year insurrection in Sierra Leone, starting in 1991 and ending in 2002. It later developed into a political party, which existed until 2007. After peace was established, RUF was converted into a political party, the RUFP (Revolutionary United Front Party). In July 2007, RUFP merged with the All People's Congress".

During the civil war in Sierra Leone in the 1990s, the Revolutionary United Front Party, led by Foday Sankoh had the following flag: green stripe above yellow, in the center was a lion, surrounded with the bands bearing inscriptions: "Revolutionary United Front Party" and "Power and Wealth to the People".

Sierra Leone People's Party

There is an important political party in Sierra Leone called the SLPP (Sierra Leone People's Party). Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) was established in April 1951 through the merger of the Peoples Party (PP), the Protectorate Education Progressive Union (PEPU) and the Sierra Leone Organisation Society (SOS). When Sierra Leone turned into a one-party state in 1978 all SLPP MPs except one joined the APC (All People's Congress) party. In 1982 the so-called Ndogboyosoi (bush devil) war erupted between the APC government and the SLPP in the south.

The party's coat of arms can be seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Slpplogo.gif. It seems that the flag is a plain white flag with the coat of arms on it, but I have not confirmed such claim.
