The Gonfalon

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"The gonfalon is confirmed on October 2d 1997. It represents a rectangular yellow panel with a ratio of the parties 1:1, from flagstaff to middle of a free edge is a blue triangle, on which one a white crescent with downwards horns, in it thrusted two yellow swords, at the top is yellow bell with or 6-radial aster below it. The author is Yu.Terlets'kyi."

"The modern emblem is confirmed on October 2nd 1997. In an azure field is argent crescent with downwards horns, in it thrusted two or swords, at the top is or bell with or 6-radial aster below it. The author is Yu.Terlets'kyi."

The City

"The first mention refers to 1570. The folk legend speaks, that the settlement was based by the industrialist Volodymyrko, which one had in possession ore mines, where fused metal from local bog ores. In 1667 it was given the Magdeburg Right by the request of the Chetvertyns'kyi, owner of settlement."
