Description of the flag

The city is located in Pope County and it is the county seat. As of the 2010 Census, 27,920 residents live in the town but the population fluctuates due to it being the home of the main Arkansas Tech University campus.

The flag is the city logo, seen at www.azzore.com, on a white background. The river represents the Arkansas River going through the city and it is home to Lake Dardanelle. The green mountains stand for Mount Nebo. These flags I saw at the entrances to the city limits (one by the Lake Dardanelle State Park and one on US Interstate 40 heading towards Little Rock.

I used the above logo at www.azzore.com to craft up the flag image.
