Description of the flag

The center of this white flag shows the clock tower of the historic Butler County Courthouse. The time is 8 o'clock. This flag was designed by Gene Egleston of Egleston Advertising in about 1997 according to flag expert John Purcell. Butler County was named after Major General Richard Butler, who died when General St. Clair was defeated by Native Americans in 1791.
